Top-seeded Totino-Grace sent Alexandria Area to the third place game and advanced to the AAA State Boys Basketball Championship game with a 70-59 win over the Cardinals on Thursday at Target Center.  Totino-Grace shot 55% (28-51) from the field and made 7-of-12 (58%) from 3-point range.  They also won the rebounding battle, 29-20.

The Minnesota State High School League sponsored Boys’ Basketball Tournament begins on Tuesday in the Twin Cities and goes through Saturday when champions will be crowned in all four classes and the winter sports season will come to a conclusion.  Here is the quarterfinal round schedule in each class.
