Recent West Central Area Track & Field News

The Class A Girls State Golf Tournament ended on Wednesday as only 16 of the 18 holes were completed due to the weather, making for a 34-hole tournament over two days at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker.  Fillmore Central (345-307) and Dawson-Boyd (350-302) shared the team title with a score of 652.

Dawson-Boyd junior Lindsey Lund won the individual title with a 147 (80-67) and senior Kenna Henriksen of BOLD was runner-up with a 148 (80-68).

 

Border West junior Paige Beyer has the first round lead at the Class A State Girls Golf Tournament at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker.  Beyer turned in an opening round score of 76 to take a two shot lead over Myleigh Scheevel of Fillmore Central.  Senior Aspen Beyer of Border West is tied for third place with Lindsey Lund of Dawson-Boyd and Kenna Henriksen of BOLD after recording rounds of 80.

West Central Area seventh grader Miley Dewey is tied for 18th place at 89 and junior Macy Grosz of the Knights came in with a 95 and sits in 35th place.

 

WCA Girls Cap 3-Meet Week with Win at Balmoral

The West Central Area girls’ golf team competed in their Quad County Conference Meet on April 15, placing third as a team, with 5 individuals in the top 20.  Miley Dewey shot a 91 to claim third place and Macy Grosz shot a 109 for tenth place.  “For the first meet of the season, all the girls did really well,” said Head Coach Chelle Dewey.
