Fergus Falls attended the Alexandria Relays on Tuesday, placing third in the boys’ team competition with 398 points.  The host Cardinals won the event with 551.5 and Willmar was second with 454.  Pequot Lakes took fourth with 390, followed by Little Falls 354, Detroit Lakes 241.5 and Rocori 126.

Alexandria junior Kaija Schneider is the Olson Oil Company Athlete of the Week.  The track and field standout registered four first place finishes to lead the lady Cardinals to a Central Lakes Conference Indoor Meet championship on Saturday, April 6 at St. John’s University in Collegeville.

Schneider won the long jump (15-11.50), the 60 meter dash (7.94) and the 200 meter dash (26.97).  She also anchored the winning 4x200 meter relay team (1:51.41).
