Recent Border West Track & Field News

The Border West Track and Field teams competed at the Sisseton Legion Relay Meet on Thursday, recording 27 personal bests and setting 6 new school records.  Records fell in the Boys 200 meter dash, pole vault, long jump and triple jump, along with the Girls 200 meter dash.  “We are extremely proud of the effort and hard work our athletes have been putting in so far this season,” said Head Coach Brittany Erickson of the Buccaneers.  “They have been successful individually, leading to both boys’ and girls’ teams scoring high at each track meet.  Seeing so many Border West athletes on the podium today was awesome!”

The Fargo Elite Track and Field Meet was held on Saturday at the brand new Dahl and Beres Track and Field Complex at NDSU.  Only the top 24 entries were accepted in each event based on performances this season.

 

Marv Meyer Track and Field Invitational Results

The Marv Meyer Track and Field Invitational was held in Morris on Tuesday.  Minnewaska Area won the girls’ competition with 140.50 points and Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale took second place with 106.  Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale won the boys’ event with a score of 124 and runner-up honors went to Minnewaska Area with 119.
