“We came out a little flat and let Breckenridge control the game,” said Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “We played much better in the second half. We did a better job attacking the basket and we got a lot of good looks because of it.”
Madi Foss registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Madi Ballweg led the lady Comets with 13 points and Regan Wiertzema had 8. Ella Knutson (6 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists) and Ruby Peterson (3 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) had solid all-around floor game.
Addison Twidwell led the Cowgirls with 13 points.
Breckenridge (9-10, 6-4 HOL) will host East Grand Forks on Monday night.
Hillcrest (9-12, 5-6 LEC) will play at Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Monday night, at Lake Park-Audubon on Thursday and at home against Battle Lake on Friday.
