The Hillcrest girls’ basketball team scored the last 9 points of the game on Friday night as they fought back for a 57-56 win over the Rockets in Underwood. Down 56-48 with just over a minute to play the Comets turned up the defensive pressure which led to multiple turnovers by the Rockets. They also made their free throws, including one on an old-fashioned 3-point play by Elin Retzlaff that brought the score to 56-55. A five second violation on the inbounds play gave the ball to Hillcrest under the basket and Ella Knutson scored off the pass for the winning points.
