The Hillcrest Track & Field Track & Field team competed in the Little Eight Conference Meet Tuesday, May 14 and finished 4th out of 5 teams in both the girls and boys events. Border West was the Conference champions for the boys and girls. The Comets had 15 personal records during the meet.

One highlight of the meet was Kaia Fiskness breaking a 24 year old school record in the 800 by .3 seconds. Her time of 2:24.07 broke Samantha McElroy’s record from the year 2000. She has broken two individual records and been part of two relay records.
Gabe Swedenburg had a great night finishing 1st in three events: 100 (11.67), 400 (54.46) and part of the 4x400 relay team with Drew Fischer, Maverick Peterson, and Isaac Hamilton.
Other 1st place finishes were Maverick Peterson in the 800 (2:14.77), Emme Berge in the 400 (1:04.25),Katie Holzner in the 1600 (5:50.91) and the girls 4x400 (4:21.26) team of Kaia Fiskness, Katie Holzner, Ruby Peterson and Emme Berge
The Comets head to Ada on Thursday to compete in their last regular season meet.
