The Wadena-Deer Creek girls’ basketball team put together two solid halves of basketball on Friday night as they handled the Pillager Huskies, 66-35.  “Great team win against Pillager tonight,” stated Head Coach Jordan Cresap of the Wolverines. “Thought we were decisive offensively and shared the ball well. Always helps to hit some outside shots. Defensively I thought we were pretty locked in and focused throughout.”

WDC was led by 17 points from Addy Gravelle (5-3’s).  She was joined in double figures by Montana Carsten (13, 3-3’s), Payton Gravelle (12) and Jenna Dykhoff (11, 3-3’s).

Alivia Brown led the Huskies with 14 points, while Jada Loucks added a dozen.

Wadena-Deer Creek (6-5) will play at Menahga on Tuesday.

Pillager (2-6) will host New York Mills on Tuesday.  The Huskies have lost 5 in a row.
