Henning won the rebounding battle 36-16, hit 46% (32-69) of their field goal attempts and posted a 79-44 victory over Underwood in a non-conference contest on Friday night in Underwood.  The Hornets held a 43-18 halftime lead on the Rockets.

Mason Hammer had a double-double for the Hornets with 28 points and 10 rebounds.  He also blocked 3 shots.  Kale Misegades had 20 points and 4 assists, and Tyson Misegades finished with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals.  Lane Dilly had 9 rebounds for Henning.

“Nice defensive effort from our guys tonight at Underwood,” commented Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “We dominated the glass, not allowing a single offensive rebound for Underwood. We were also able to create 20 turnovers which led to some easy buckets in transition.  We didn’t shoot the ball particularly well from three tonight, but, we did a lot of little things well as a group and played a solid game overall.”

Cole Peterson led Underwood with 10 points and 7 rebounds.  Noah Link added 8 points and Drew Evavold had 7 points and 3 blocked shots.  Kaleb Hammes led the team with 3 assists and 2 steals.  Underwood shot 45% (17-37) from the floor.

Henning (23-1, 14-0 PRC) will close out the regular season with home games against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Tuesday and Ashby on Friday.

Underwood (10-13, 7-9 LEC) plays Border West in Wheaton on Monday night and will host Park Christian on Tuesday.
