The Henning boys’ basketball team led 65-20 at halftime on Friday night and the Hornets cruised to a 98-34 win over the Rothsay Tigers in a non-conference contest in Henning.  Henning is now 4-0 on the season.

“We showed an improved level of intensity early in the game which led to a lot of positive things for our guys,” noted Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “We did a really nice job sharing the ball and shot the ball exceptionally well for a stretch in the first half. Getting six guys into double figures was good to see. We also rebounded at a high level, led by Lane Dilly (17 rebounds, 7 offensive rebounds) on the glass.”

Kale Misegades (22 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals) and Tyson Misegades (20 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals) led the way for the Hornets.  Dilly added 10 points and 5 assists to his 17 boards.  Other players in double figures were Mason Hammer with 14, Carter Dilly with 11 and Noah Umland with 11.

Carson Weiers (12 points, 7 rebounds) and Matthew Danielson (7 points, 4 rebounds) led the Tigers.

Henning plays at Pillager on Tuesday night, while Rothsay pays a visit to battle Lake.
