Battle Lake hosted New York Mills in a high school boys’ basketball contest on Thursday night.  The Battlers placed three players in double digits on the way to a 69-30 victory, improving their season record to 3-0.

“The guys played a complete game tonight,” commented first year head coach Brady Cameron.  “It was good to have a full team tonight and all ten of the guys contributed in one way or another.  We took care of the ball and limited our turnovers that have plagued us so far this season.”

Jack Mekalson (26 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block), Owen Buehler (16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks) and Bradyn Roisum (10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks) all finished in double figures to lead the Battlers.  Mason Dalluge chipped in with 4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and one blocked shot, and Jacob Radermacher added 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks.

No New York Mills stats were reported.

Battle Lake will host Rothsay next Tuesday and then will play their first road game on Thursday at Parkers Prairie.
