Misti Zempel came through with a double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds) and also had 3 steals and 3 blocked shots. Karleigh Rohloff scored a team high 16 points, had 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 5 deflections. Kaitlyn Staples was the leader in steals with 7 and also had 14 points. Kaitlyn Rohloff contributed 9 points and 4 assists and Carlee Hanson had 7 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 deflected passes. Brooke VerSteeg and Rylee Hanson chipped in with 7 points apiece.
The Owls made 52.5% (31-59) of their shots from the floor and 6-of-12 (50%) from beyond the arc.
Leaders for Hillcrest were Regan Wiertzema (7 points), Madi Foss (5 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists), Ella Knutson (3 points, 6 rebounds) and Madi Ballweg (3 points).
Hillcrest struggled offensively, making only 23% (7-30) of their field goal attempts and only 1-of-12 from the 3-point line. Hancock won the rebounding battle 32-20.
Hancock (17-1) will host Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Thursday and Brandon-Evansville on Saturday.
Hillcrest (8-10) will host Underwood on Thursday night.
