“Regan Wiertzema played a great game tonight leading our team with a double-double (24 points, 10 rebounds),” said Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark. “Our team really crashed the O-boards grabbing 25 for the night and that led to multiple shot opportunities. We got to play everyone on the bench and every single girl grabbed at least 1 rebound for the team.  Ruby Peterson and Madi Ballweg played great defense for us tonight and really made it tough for the Johnnies to get into their offense.”

Wiertzema was joined in double digits by Ballweg (13 points, 8 steals), Peterson (12 points, 4 assists, 4 steals) and Ella Knutson (10 points, 9 rebounds).  Alivia Holmquist chipped in with 4 points and 7 rebounds, and Madi Foss had 3 points and 4 boards.

The win puts Hillcrest at 8-9 on the season.  They will travel to Hancock for a game on Tuesday night.
