Madi Ballweg made 11-of-14 free throws and poured in a game high 23 points to lead the Hillcrest girls’ basketball team to a 56-42 Little Eight Conference win over Parkers Prairie on Thursday night in Fergus Falls.  Ballweg added 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

“Tonight was a fun win for us,” said Head Coach Hannah Clark.  “It was our first time playing at home since December 9th and the girls looked comfortable on their home court.”

Ruby Peterson was also in double digits with 14 points.  Madi Foss contributed 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.  Regan Wiertzema had 10 boards and chipped in with 8 points, while Alivia Holmquist finished with 3 points and 8 rebounds.

“Ruby shot the ball well from the 3-point line and that really opened up the inside for her teammates,” said Coach Clark.  “Madi Foss, Alivia and Regan continue to rebound well for the team.”

Hillcrest (7-8) will play at West Central Area on Saturday afternoon.

Parkers Prairie (7-8) will host Ashby on Tuesday.
