“We picked up a very nice win on the road tonight with really good balanced scoring and rebounding the ball,” stated Hillcrest Head Coach Gregg Preston. “For our first game I really liked the manner in which we delivered the ball to each other and worked defensively. Nick Foss and Gabriel Preston distributed 10 assists combined and played well defensively. Overall, it was a very good team effort.” 

Thomas Zwiers led four Comets in double figures, scoring 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Logan Disabella added 13, Sander Frustol had 12 and Micah Foss finished with 11 points. 

Hillcrest shot 44% (27-62) from the field and went 6-for-22 (27%) from beyond the arc.

Frustol had a double-double, adding 11 rebounds in the game. Zwiers added 9 and Foss finished with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals. Nick Foss dished out 5 assists and had 2 steals, Micah Foss came up with 3 assists and 6 steals, and Gabriel Preston contributed 5 rebounds and 4 assists. 

Hillcrest will face Brandon-Evansville in Evansville on Tuesday night.
