Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta hosted a track and field invitational on Tuesday with the Tigers sharing first place with Lac qui Parle Valley in the girls’ competition with 174 points and Lac qui Parle Valley winning the boys’ event with 170.50 points. West Central Area placed second on the boys’ side with 112.50 points and third on the girls’ side with 160 points.
“Our kids had another strong showing and continue to improve,” said West Central Area Head Coach Dave Schleicher. “Terina Blascyk set a new personal record in the high jump. She has had some big jumps this year. Sydney Ulrich had another strong performance, Maci Robinson continues to be a consistent scorer in the shot put and is so close to breaking the school record, and Adam Merkins and Jeremy Blascyk had great days and are improving with every meet. With a handful of meets left before conference, we’re confident the kids will be hitting on all cylinders and should be a fun group to watch.”
