Four members of the Wadena-Deer Creek girls’ basketball team received Park Region All-Conference honors for the 2023-2024 season. The Wolverines celebrated their 15-12 season with their awards night recently and recognized All-Conference players Addyson Gravelle (JR) and Montana Carsten (JR), along with Payton Gravelle (FR). Kennedy Ness (SO) was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection.
Individual team awards went to Payton Gravelle (“Hard Hat” Award – Hardest Worker), Jenna Dykhoff (Ally Pavek Best Teammate Award) and Kennedy Ness (Most Improved Player). Lola Pulver earned Academic All-State honors.
Coach Jordan Cresap recognized members of the ‘Shot Club’, those players who made the most shots over the off-season. They are Leah Osberg (22,000), Payton Gravelle (15, 150), Addyson Gravelle (15,050) and Tori Mallak (13,140).
Wadena-Deer Creek finished with an 11-3 Park Region Conference record, second only to undefeated (14-0) Menahga.
