Cardinals Take Control with Early 17-2 Run, Beat Otters 85-50

With the game tied 5-5, the Alexandria Cardinals went on a 17-2 run to take a commanding 22-7 lead and went on to defeat Fergus Falls by the score of 85-50 on Thursday night.  The Cards made 12 3-point field goals in the game and had 3 players reach double digits.  Chase Thompson and Bralyn Steffensmeier each scored 21 points and Grayson Grove added 11.

 

Fergus Falls was led by Henry Bethel with 15 points and Ryan Hirst with a dozen.

The Otters (11-12, 7-7 CLC) will travel to St. Cloud Tech on Monday and to Wahpeton on Tuesday afternoon.  They will close out their regular season with a game at the Roosevelt Gym against Willmar on Friday, March 1.

Alexandria (19-5, 14-1 CLC) has a road game at Sartell on Monday and will travel to Bemidji on Friday, March 1.
