The Battle Lake girls’ basketball team traveled to Sebeka for a non-conference contest on Monday. It was a competitive night of basketball with the home team leading 24-17 at the break and holding off the Battlers for a 53-48 victory.
“We fell behind by as much as 10 in the second half, and just couldn’t come all the way back,” stated Battle Lake Head Coach David Marso.
Kenady Cameron led all scorers with 26 points, while Madi Cameron and Sophie Akerman added 6 points each.
Annika Pulju led Sebeka with 18 points.
Battle Lake travels to Graceville for a Little Eight Conference game against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley, and will host Hillcrest in another LEC contest on Thursday night.
Sebeka (7-12) plays at Pillager on Tuesday and will host Wadena-Deer Creek on Friday.
