The Pelican Rapids girls’ basketball team kept rolling along on Monday night as they posted a 60-46 win over Wadena-Deer Creek in Wadena.  “Tough loss against a disciplined Pelican Rapids team tonight,” commented WDC Head Coach Jordan Cresap.  “They are very well coached and have a great player in Morgan Korf.  Rough start for us, but I like how we battled back into the game.  A second half lull for us, offensively, led to Pelican Extending their lead.”

Morgan Korf and Anna Roisum led the lady Vikings with 23 points each.  Korf also had 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals, while Roisum blocked 3 shots and grabbed 7 boards. Ellie Welch finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds  in the game.

Wadena-Deer Creek was led by 15 points from Montana Carsten.  Two players, Payton Gravelle and Jada Dykhoff each had 10 points.

The Wolverines (14-9) will host Menahga on Thursday night and travel to Sebeka on Friday.

Pelican Rapids (22-2, 10-1 HOL) has an 11 game winning streak.  They will host Perham on Thursday night.
