Three Hillcrest girls reached double digits on Tuesday night as the Comets defeated Parkers Prairie 64-28.  Ella Knutson (17 points, 9 rebounds), Elsa Retzlaff (15 points, 4 rebounds, 6 steals) and Ruby Peterson (13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals).  Kate Olstad added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals).

“The girls’ came out and played with intensity right from the start and carried it all the way to the buzzer,” said Head Coach Hannah Clark.  “It was fun to see everyone get involved!  Ella Knutson played a very efficient game tonight.  She picked her shots well and finished nicely around the rim.”

Johahana McKeown led Parkers Prairie with 11 points.

“Tough one tonight as things did not go our way,” said Parkers Prairie Head Coach Hunter Haggenmiller.  “The girls battled adversity the entire night and gained some opportunities to learn tonight.  Short memory as we are back to work tomorrow and play a home game Thursday against Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.”

Hillcrest (15-5, 11-3 LEC) has won five straight games and seven of their last eight.  They will host Rothsay on Thursday night.
