The Hillcrest girls’ basketball team recorded their tenth win of the season when they handled Battle Lake, 71-42 on Tuesday night in Fergus Falls.  “Battle Lake did a good job coming out aggressive on offense and getting us into early foul trouble, disrupting our rhythm on both ends of the floor,” stated Hillcrest Head Coach Hannah Clark.  “The girls did a great job making adjustments and we played a much cleaner second half.  It was a good win and was fun to get lots of girls in the scoring column.”

Ella Knutson (21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks) contributed another double-double, while Elsa Retzlaff (20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals) and Ruby Peterson (7 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals) stuffed the stat sheet.  Kate Olstad and Emme Berge added 7 points and 7 rebounds apiece.

Sophie Akerman led Battle Lake, registering a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Hillcrest (10-4, 7-2 LEC) will play at home against Hancock on Friday night.

Battle Lake travels to Rothsay for a Little Eight Conference matchup on Friday.
