Wadena-Deer Creek and Sebeka competed in a Park Region Conference girls’ basketball contest at Target Center on Saturday with the Wolverines coming out on top, 55-31. “Solid effort against Sebeka tonight at Target Center,” said WDC Head Coach Jordan Cresap. “Great collective defense in the second half. Thought we rebounded well as a group and handled their pressure well. Nice to see us shoot well from three as a group! Fun for all of our kids to get out there and experience playing at Target Center.”
Montana Carsten led Wadena-Deer Creek with 14 points and Addy Gravelle had a dozen. Payton Gravelle was also in double digits with 11 points.
Kylah Watson led Sebeka with 9 points.
Wadena-Deer Creek (7-6) has a pair of home games next weekend, facing Verndale on Friday and East Grand Forks on Saturday.
Sebeka will host New York Mills on Friday night.
