The Menahga Braves hosted Wadena-Deer Creek in a Park Region Conference girls’ basketball game on Tuesday.  The Braves beat the Wolverines by the score of 74-47.  “Tough one in Menahga tonight,” said Wadena-Deer Creek Head Coach Jordan Cresap. “They were hitting on all cylinders and we could not string any stops together. Thought we competed tough, just too many lapses defensively and we didn’t handle their varying defenses very well.”

Menahga had four players reach double figures, led by Erica Tormanen with 18.  Kylie Anderson had 16, Janelle Hendrickson had 13 and Leah Weaver also scored 13.

Addy Gravelle scored 15 points to lead Wadena-Deer Creek.  The Wolverines received 8 points from Montana Carston, Jenna Dykhoff and Payton Gravelle.

The win was the ninth in a row for the Braves who are now 9-1.  They will host Browerville on Thursday.

Wadena-Deer Creek (6-6) will host Sebeka on Saturday in another Park Region Conference contest.
