Pelican Rapids will face New York Mills for the championship in the Valhalla Division of the Minnesota National Bank Classic on Friday at 6:00pm in Pelican Rapids. The Vikings advanced with a 53-39 win over Mahnomen-Waubun in the semifinal round on Thursday. The Vikings led 24-13 at the half. Morgan Korf put together a solid floor game with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.
Ari Hovland (9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals), Claudia Gurath (8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists) and Ellie Welch (8 rebounds, 3 assists) also contributed. Grace Backstrom added a pair of steals.
New York Mills won their game, 59-50 over Badger-Greenbush-Middle River. Ayla Olson scored 30 points to lead the Eagles.
