Brandon-Evansville traveled to Henning for a non-conference girls’ basketball contest on Tuesday. The Chargers led 31-22 at the half and went on to record a 51-43 victory. Kylee Dingwall hit some big free throws at the end of the game to seal it for the visitors. Dingwall finished with 8 points, as did Taylor Dingwall. Haddy Baune led all scorers with 14.
“The girls really battled in this one,” commented B-E Head Coach Stephen Schreiber. “Henning played strong on defense and didn’t give us much breathing room throughout the game, but we came n knowing if we played the kind of defensive game that we had played over the last week that we’d give ourselves a shot at a win.”
Brandon-Evansville (7-1) recorded their fourth straight win. They will play at Rothsay on Thursday to close out their pre-Christmas schedule.
Henning (3-4) is at Lake Park-Audubon on Thursday night.
