Five minutes into the contest the Crusaders attacked the right side of the field to the goal line.  A perfect cross to the top of the eighteen ended in a header laser to the back of the net past Freshman Comet Keeper, Franki Renner.  Two more set play corner kicks and a penalty kick ended in goals for the Crusaders, capping all scoring for the game.

The Comets were able to get three shots on goal while the Crusaders had eleven.

“The Comets faced probably the BEST opponent I have seen in 23 years of coaching our team.  I am proud of the Comets for their season accomplishments, exceeding my expectations.  I wish Saint Cloud Cathedral and Coach Alex Hess the very best in the state tournament!  The Comets will gather on October 29 for a year end season celebration.  Awards will be given at that time.  Senior Captain, Abram Ness, who broke HLA’s career point goal for goals and assists was selected into the All-State Team.“

The Comets finish their season with a record of 11-7-1.
