Shane Zierden (Fergus Falls Boys Soccer and Football)

Fergus Falls senior Shane Zierden, a striker for the boys’ soccer team and the place kicker for the football team, is the Olson Oil Company Athlete of the Week.  Zierden had memorable games in both sports during homecoming week.

Zierden scored 5 goals and assisted on another as the Otters defeated Detroit Lakes, 6-1, on Thursday.

He then went 4-for-4 on extra point tries in the Otters 28-14 win over Perham on Friday night in front of a large homecoming crowd.
