The Hillcrest volleyball team faced Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Tuesday night and swept the Wolverines 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-17). “Together we played … together we won,” said Head Coach Debi Foss of the lady Comets. "We did a good job again tonight of staying on task and working together to put the ball down on the other side. I appreciate how our more experienced players are embracing the younger players more and more.”
Leaders for Hillcrest were Anna Brumfield (1 ace, 7 kills, 12 digs), Emily Adams (8 kills, 2 set assists, 4 digs, 4 block kills), Chloe Walkup (3 digs), Maddie Miller (4 digs), Ella Knutson (1 ace, 8 kills, 4 digs, 2 block kills), Ruby Peterson (25 set assists, 13 digs), Kenzie Miller (6 kills, 4 block kills) and Elsa Retzlaff (3 kills, 7 digs, 1 ace).
“It’s the little things in team culture that can have a big impact, on and off the court,” added Coach Foss. “Eyes up … to each other is important!”
The next matchup for the Comets will be a Little Eight Conference match at home on Thursday.
