The Hillcrest Comets girls soccer team defeated visiting Crookston on Thursday, 1-0. Hillcrest scored the only goal of the evenly matched game 10 minutes into the second half. Junior Rebecca Fosse passed the ball through the defense setting up Junior forward Ava Lindgren for a fast break goal. Crookston outshot Hillcrest 15 to 4 in the match. Freshman goalie McKinlee Balweg had 15 saves to secure Hillcrest’s win.
