“Tonight was a beautiful night for a race and the team ran very well,” commented ABE Head Coach Robert Bosma. “The girls were missing a couple of runners, but Lexi Bitzan stepped up to run varsity so we could score as a team. This was her first varsity run this year and she ran very well. Lauren Thoennes led the way for us and had a great night. She is a competitor to the core and though she doesn't run well in heat, she pushed herself into being uncomfortable to drop more time off her best.”

 “Kenneth Spielman led the guys' team for us,” said Coach Bosma. “He, August Bredberg, and Micah Fossell jostled most of the race for position. Because of their work, August and Micah ran their best times of the year. Nathan Brethorst ran varsity tonight and also ran really well. He is still learning strategy and has a lot more to give. It will be exciting to see what he can do.”
