The Hillcrest volleyball team defeated Ashby 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-10) in a Little Eight Conference match on Thursday night in Ashby.  “Tonight, our plan was to stay disciplined and focused and I believe we accomplished that goal,” said Head Coach Debi Foss of the Comets.  “We also had some team and individual things we were working on which showed growth.  Even though our serve percentage was only 88%, our ace serves were drastically improved.  The girls performed well tonight and I’m happy with the way we bounced back from Tuesday.”

The Comets were led by Emily Adams (13/16 serving, 13 serving points, 7 aces, 7 kills, 1 block kill), Kenzie Miller (17/19 serving, 5 aces, 16 serving points, 6 kills, 3 digs, 2 block kills), Ella Knutson (7/9 serving, 6 serving points, 4 kills 9 digs, 2 block kills), Elsa Retzlaff (2/2 serving, 4 kills, 2 digs, 2 block kills), Anna Brumfield (12/12 serving, 8 serving points, 1 ace, 3 kills, 2 digs) and Ruby Peterson (14/15 serving, 9 serving points, 2 ace serves, 25 set assists, 3 kills, 6 digs).  Kaia Miller recorded 1 block kill and Chloe Walkup had a pair of digs.

Hillcrest will host Park Christian next Tuesday.
