EGF scored their first goal just five minutes into the contest when Green Wave midfielder, Carson McDonald, slipped a grounder right side near post past senior Comet Keeper, Soren Floden.  EGF scored their second goal ten minutes into the second half off a cross from the right side of the field resulting in a header goal by Carson Knutson.

The Comets had several attempts to score, with shots on goal exceeding the Green Wave 16-9.

“We have a young athletic team…  most all our players have played together for only seven practices (Tuesday cancelled due to heat),” said Comets Head Coach Rod Jensen.  “We have much to improve on as the season progresses, and I am confident that we will improve in our performance.”

The Comets face Minnewaska Area at home on Tuesday for a match at 4PM.
