The Breckenridge Cowgirls return four starters from their successful 23-6 team of a year ago.  The Cowgirls were a perfect 6-0 in Heart O’ Lakes Conference play, claiming the HOL title, and ended up as runners-up in sub-section play.  They had an 11-3 record against Section 6A opponents.  Two of their graduates, 5-year starter Abigail Johnson and 2-year starter Addison Twidwell are now playing at NDSCS.

Returning starters are senior Hailee Hanson (MH), junior Sydni Roberts (Libero), and sophomores Parker Yaggie (Setter) and Katlyn Kaehler (OH).

Key newcomers are seniors Jacy Hendrickx (Setter) and Kolle Schuler (Setter), junior Erin Blaufuss (MH) and sophomore Jozie Wienbar (OH).  Unfortunately, Wienbar tore her ACL on the second day of practice.

“We return good experience, and have some underclassmen stepping into some big roles,” commented Head Coach Margaret Krueger.  “We have a lot of excitement and high expectations for this season.”

Alicia Finkral, Missy Johnson and Briana Dauer will serve as Assistant Coaches.

Coach Krueger says BBE, Underwood and Henning are favorites in Section 6A, while DGF and Barnesville are the top teams in the conference.
