“We were very passive on offense in the first half and didn’t attack their zone like we wanted to,” reported Head Coach Hannah Clark of the Comets. “Once we started moving the ball quicker and smarter we were able to get some great looks on offense. We got within reach at the end of the game, but Breckenridge knocked down their free throws to seal the game.”

Leaders for Hillcrest were Ella Knutson (19 points, 6 rebounds), Lizzy Olstad (12 points), Elsa Retzlaff (7 points, 6 rebounds), Maddie Ballweg (4 points) and Madi Foss (2 points, 9 rebounds).

Breckenridge (16-7, 7-5 HOL) will play at Underwood on Thursday and at Crookston on Friday to end their regular season schedule.

Hillcrest (16-9, 11-6 LEC) closes out their season with a home game Thursday against Lake Park-Audubon.
