It was the Panthers and the Tigers in a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball battle in Rothsay on Friday night. Parkers Prairie took a 45-22 lead and went on to post a 78-45 victory over the host team. Dylan Debilzen and Mason Arens provided an effective one-two punch for the Panthers as each scored 24 points.
Rothsay was led by Matthew Danielson with 13 and Landon Messerschmidt with 11. The Tigers shot just 28% from the field and 41% (7-17) from the free throw line.
Parkers Prairie (8-11, 5-10 LEC) has a road game at Ashby on Tuesday and a home game Friday against New York Mills
Rothsay (3-19, 0-15 LEC) will face Border West in Graceville on Tuesday night and will entertain Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal in a non-conference matchup on Friday.
