Sauk Rapids-Rice paid a visit to Fergus Falls for a Central Lakes Conference boys’ basketball contest on Friday night. The Storm led 28-17 at the half and won the game 67-55, improving their season record to 10-11 and their CLC mark to 6-6. The Otters are now 6-15 overall and 4-7 in conference play.
The Otters pulled to within 3 points at 33-30 early in the second half, however, Sauk Rapids-Rice was able to build a 9 point lead at 43-34 and were able to prevent the Otters from closing the gap.
Henry Bethel had a huge second half for the Otters, scoring 24 of his 29 points over the final 18 minutes of play. Levi King and Josh Sternberg contributed 6 points each. The Otters made 15-of-19 free throws on the night.
Two members of the Storm finished in double figures, led by Max Loesch with 19 and Hudson Omoke with 14. Mason Rudolph chipped in with 9 points.
Fergus Falls will host Brainerd in a makeup game on Monday night, will travel to Alexandria on Tuesday night and will host St. Cloud Tech on Thursday.
