Border West ran their winning streak to fourteen games on Saturday with an 89-62 victory over the Breckenridge Cowboys.  The Buccaneers scored 32 points off 27 Breckenridge turnovers.  Border West shot 43% (32-75) from the field and Breckenridge made 57.5% (23-40) of their shots.

“Proud of the game the boys played,” said Border West Head Coach Jordon Roos. “Breckenridge is a much better team than their record shows. It was also our second game of back to back so glad we did not come out tired or underestimate Breck. A couple big factors were that we forced a ton of turnovers and shot the ball great at the free throw line. Breck did a really nice job of finishing in the lane in transition and in half court.”

Dylan Bainbridge and Clint Determan scored 18 points apiece to lead Border West.  Cole Gilsdorf, Holden Rinke and Andrew Walker added 10 points each.  Determan and Gilsdorf led the team with 7 rebounds each.  Bainbridge and Gilsdorf had 4 assists apiece and Brayden Hofer led the Bucs with 5 steals.

Border West (17-2, 11-0 LEC) has a conference game against Brandon-Evansville on Tuesday in Evansville, a road game at Lac qui Parle Valley on Thursday and a Friday home game with Hancock.

Breckenridge has 3 games this week.  They travel to Glenwood to face Minnewaska Area on Tuesday night, host Morris on Thursday and are at home to Frazee on Friday.
