The Fergus Falls boys’ basketball team suffered a 66-41 loss at Bemidji on Saturday afternoon, extending their losing streak to three games. The Otters have now lost 6 of their last seven games and saw their record fall to 6-14. The game was tied 11-11 when Matthew Matheny scored 11 straight points to give the Lumberjacks a 22-11 advantage on the way to a 36-14 halftime lead.
Matheny was one of three Bemidji players to reach double figures, scoring 12 points. Ethan Biehn scored a game high 21 points and Isaac Severts added 14.
Fergus Falls was led by Henry Bethel with 11 points. Josh Sternberg and Ryan Hirst contributed 9 and 8 points, respectively. Micah Johnson hit a pair of 3’s off the bench for six points.
Fergus Falls has a pair of home games this week. They will host Brainerd on Tuesday and Sauk Rapids-Rice on Friday.
