Evink's Double Double Leads Owls Past Tigers

The Hancock boys’ basketball team defeated Rothsay at the Bill Rose Gymnasium on Friday night, beating the Tigers by the score of 78-41.  The Owls led 36-17 at the half.  Hancock had a commanding 49-20 edge on the boards.

 

Chase Evink delivered a monster performance with 23 points and 19 rebounds.  Jackson Koehl finished with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals.  Brayden Kisgen and Hudson VerSteeg contributed 14 and 12 points, respectively.  Both players pulled down 7 rebounds.  Jared Koehl had a team high 7 assists.

Rothsay was led by 11 points from Matthew Danielson and 10 points from Karson Jensen.

Hancock (9-8) will play at Underwood on Tuesday, will host Canby on Thursday and will play at Border West on Friday.

Rothsay has back-to-back home games against Tri-State and Hillcrest on Monday and Tuesday.
