The Browerville/Eagle Valley boys’ basketball team took a thirteen point lead into halftime on Tuesday night and maintained that lead throughout the second half to post a 67-54 win over Brandon-Evansville.  Browerville made 49% (28-57) of their field goal attempts and scored 21 points off 23 turnovers by the Chargers.

Hans Puck (15 points, 3 steals, 2 assists) and Miguel Maloney (12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals) led Browerville/Eagle Valley.  Parker Duncan and Marshall Murch added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

“I thought our energy was there tonight, we just made too many mistakes,” said B-E Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We ended the night with 23 turnovers and you can't win games against quality opponents doing that. We have to value the ball more, we need to play smarter. Our guys are doing a great job of staying positive and continuing to show up and put in the work. I love being around this team each day, and that's always a win.”

Dezmond White (21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists) and Micah Fuller (13 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds) were the scoring leaders for B-E.  Tanner Riedel had a team high 3 steals.

The Chargers (4-11) plays in Battle Lake on Friday.
