The Border West Buccaneers shot 51% in the game and 43.5% on 3-pointers Tuesday night as they posted a 75-68 win over Parkers Prairie in a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball matchup.  The Panthers also hit 51% of their overall field goal attempts, while making 32% of their 3-point attempts.  Border West forced 22 Parkers Prairie turnovers, leading to 30 points.

“Parkers Prairie deserves a lot of credit this game,” said Border West Head Coach Jordon Roos. “They were physical down low, got some easy baskets in the lane and out rebounded us badly. Luckily we shot the ball well, forced some turnovers and took decent care of the ball to balance out our rebounding. We had a big run to start the second half which helped us build about a 7-10 point lead and we held onto that the rest of the game.”

Clint Determan led all scorers with 24 points and Cole Gilsdorf had 19 points, making 5-of-7 3’s. Determan also had 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.  Dylan Bainbridge added 9 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals.

Border West (13-2, 8-0 LEC) has won ten straight games.  They will play at Hillcrest on Friday night.

Parkers Prairie (5-7, 3-7 LEC) is at home to Underwood on Friday night.

No Parkers Prairie stats were reported.
