The Hancock boys’ basketball team held Ashby to 12 first half points as they built a 28-12 lead on the way to a 54-39 victory over the Arrows on Thursday night.  The Owls won the rebounding battle 40-23 and had 16 assists on 21 baskets.

“We got off to a slow start, falling behind 20-5, and just couldn’t go on any scoring run to get back in the game,” stated Ashby Head Coach John Holsten

Ashby (4-8, 3-6 LEC) gets right back at it on Friday night, hosting the Rothsay Tigers.

Hancock (6-6, 4-5 LEC) will play at Morris on Saturday.
