The Ashby Arrows Boys Basketball Team hosted the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars and came out on the losing end of a 74-45 score.  Ashby trailed 35-19 at the halftime break.

Kellen Dahlen was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Arrows netting 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for a double-double.  Richie Johnson added 10 points for the night.

BBE had three players reach double figures.  Point guard Kaden Pieper was the game's leading scorer with 23 points.  Shooting guard Brady Schne contributed 21 and Luke Dingman finished the evening with 11 points.

The Jaguars shot 36% (8/22) from behind the three-point line and were 56% (30/55) overall from the field.  Ashby shot 38% (18/48) from the field.

“BBE jumped out to a double digit lead and never looked back,” said Head Coach John Holsten of the Arrows.  “We competed but couldn't get stops when needed.  BBE is going to be a tough out again come tournament time. Among the things we need to improve is the ability to finish out the first half with positive plays.”

The overall record for the Arrows is 3-7. They have another 3-game set next week going to Underwood Tuesday and hosting Hancock Thursday and Rothsay Friday.
