The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team traveled to Moorhead on Tuesday night for a game against Park Christian School.  The Battlers wound up with a 77-50 win over the Falcons.

"Our starters set the tone early for us by getting stops on defense and having great ball movement on the offensive end leading to easy shots,” said Battle Lake Head Coach Brady Cameron.  “For the most part we defended at a high level all night and held the Falcons to 35% from the floor and 6-of-24 from the 3 point line.  Again tonight we did a great job of sharing the ball and assisting on over half of our made shots.  Mason Dalluge did a great job again tonight stuffing the stat sheet including a double-double.  Drew Johnson is starting to get in a groove again on the offensive end for us which is key to our team success.  One thing that needs to continue to improve on is valuing the ball as we had 15 turnovers tonight.  In order to give ourselves a change against Hillcrest on Thursday night we are going to need to keep our TO's to 10 or less."

Jack Mekalson (23 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block), Owen Buehler (15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks), Drew Johnson (13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals) and Mason Dalluge (12 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block) were all in double figures for the Battlers who are now 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the Little Eight Conference.
