Border West Extends Winning Streak to 5 Games with Win Over Hancock

The Border West Buccaneers placed 3 players in double figures on Monday night as they recorded a 77-55 win over the Owls in Hancock.  Border West held a slim 32-31 edge on the boards and had led 40-23 at the half.  The Bucs took 82 shots, making 33 of them for 40% shooting in the game.  They also scored 36 points off 31 turnovers, recording 22 team steals on the night.

Dylan Bainbridge led the way for Border West, scoring 21 points and dishing out 7 assists.  Clint Determan and Cole Gilsdorf added 17 and 14, respectively.  Andrew Walker had a team high 7 steals.  Determan completed a double-double by snaring 10 rebounds.  He also had 3 assists and 4 steals.

Leaders for Hancock were Jared Koehl (17 points), Hudson VerSteeg (13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals) and Chase Evink (9 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists).  Brayden Kisgen added 8 points for the Owls.

Border West (8-2) ran their winning streak to five games.  They will travel to Rothsay for their next game on Thursday night.

Hancock (4-5) will play Brandon-Evansville on Thursday night in Evansville.
