Perham Boys Overcome Halftime Deficit to Beat Fergus Falls

The Perham boys’ basketball team overcame a 30-25 halftime deficit, took their first lead of the game midway through the second half and handed the Fergus Falls Otters a 63-59 loss at the Breakdown Crossover Classic Saturday at ‘The Hive’ in Perham.

Micah Thompson led four Yellowjackets in double figures with 21 points.  Alex Ohm scored 17, making all 11 of his free throw attempts, Soren Anderson had 11 points and 7 assists, and Jacob Daniels finished with 10 points.  Perham hit 50% of their field goal attempts and made 21-of-27 free throws on the night.

Henry Bethel made 9-of-13 field goal attempts, including 5-of-7 3’s, to lead the Otters with 26 points.  Hayden Knick, Jaydon Manteufel and Grant Ackerson each contributed 6 points.

Perham (11-1) will play at Breckenridge on Tuesday and at Hawley on Friday.

Fergus Falls (4-7) will travel to St. Cloud to face Tech on Tuesday and will host Willmar on Friday in a pair of Central Lakes Conference games.
