The Border West Buccaneers were in control from the opening tip as they defeated Tri-State 93-42 on Friday, December 9.  Border West shot 49% (37-75) from the field and limited Tri-State to just 41 field goal attempts as they dominated the boards 45-30, including 19 offensive rebounds, and scored 42 points off 29 turnovers.

Clint Determan registered a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Bucs.  He was joined in double digits by Cole Gilsdorf (13), Andrew Walker (12) and Grant Dawson (11).  Dylan Bainbridge added 5 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Gilsdorf had 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and one blocked shot.

“We played a really nice game tonight,” commented Head Coach Jordon Roos of Border West.  “We had a good start, but Tri-State rallied in the first quarter.  We had a great second quarter and controlled the game from there.  Was nice to see four players in double figures and 13 different players score. Maybe the most impressive thing from tonight was the pace we played at, scoring 42 off turnovers and 25 in transition, while only turning the ball over 8 times.  Very great team effort.”
