Brandon-Evansville beat Rothsay 59-39 in a Little Eight Conference boys’ basketball contest on Thursday night in Evansville. All 14 players on the Chargers roster played, with 8 of them getting into the scoring column. B-E was led by 17 points from Micah Fuller and 10 from Dezmond White.
“I thought we came out a little flat to start the game,” commented Brandon-Evansville Head Coach Trent Hintermeister. “We got some good shots and they just didn’t go in early. As the game progressed we did a better job of taking care of the ball to get higher quality shots. Dezmond played a great all-around game. He was getting face-guarded and double-teamed all night and he didn’t let that effect the rest of his game.”
Aaron Gillespie and Kian Gackle each scored 8 points for the Chargers and Brady Perleberg chipped in with 7.
Brandon-Evansville (2-3) will play at Henning on Saturday, while Rothsay (0-5) will host Richland 44 at 5:00pm Saturday.
