The Henning Hornets had three players score over 20 points on Tuesday night as they scored 91 points to 64 for Lake Park-Audubon.  The Hornets made 47% (35-74) of their field goal attempts and 38% (12-31) of their 3’s.

“We put up some points again tonight, but we can’t rely on outscoring people if we want to consistently beat good teams,” said Henning Head Coach Randy Misegades. “We struggled to contain LPA’s big post players down low.”

Mason Hammer (26 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 assists), Tyson Misegades (25 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) and Kale Misegades (24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 7 assists) led the way for Henning.

“We are excited to get a lot of practice time in the next 10 days to clean some things up,” added Misegades. “The weather hasn’t allowed for much time to practice as of late. We are also looking forward to getting Carter Kenyon back from injury after the break.”

Lake Park-Audubon was led by Marc Pederson (18 points, 6 rebounds), Minske (16 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds), Colby Poegel (13 points, 5 rebounds) and Luca Beske (11 points).

Henning (6-0) will resume play on Tuesday, January 3 at Battle Lake.
